After the interview with Sophia,
our reporter made a stop-over at North Carolina to
interview our dear Navy Boy. We found we'd be able
to save money that way. Anyway, here's what happened.
95: How in heaven's name did you land a job in the Navy?
DH: I joined the navy for many reasons: 1)
so that I can help my family and petition my mom here
2) so that I can earn my own money and be independent

sa parents nako naniguwang na lang ko sege lng ko
ug pangayo ug kwarta. At least karon mapalit na nako
ang mga gusto nako ug makapadala na ko ug kwarta sa
pamilya nako.
95: A lot of people have been asking. Are you really a Navy Seal?
DH: Navy seal???? Dili ko pwede ana bei gamay kaayo ta para muapil ana.
95: So you go to the gym often, eh? You must enjoy sharing a room with 20 other sweaty, half-naked, grown men.
DH: Bwisit ka!!!! Symepre kailangan eh gamay na gani ta kaayo at least naa say mudako sa akoa. Hehehe
95: What do you do in the Navy?
DH: My work in the navy is in the medical field, tawag sa trabaho nako is Hospitalman or Corpsman. We do the medical needs of the Navy and the Marine Corps. Pareha sa movie Full Metal Jacket kami ang nagalusub kung ma-igo ang mga marines. Murag kami ang EMT nila sa guera. Tanan trabaho sa hospital kami ang nagatrabaho. Sa lab, x-ray hantud sa mga wards ug mga medical records kami tanan. Kaya daghan dyud ka matun-an sa trabaho kay all around ka.
95: Where are you stationed?
DH: I'm stationed at Jacksonville, North Carolina sa Camp Lejeune. It's a Marine Corps base. Bukid ang lugar mas gwapo pa ang Davao kaysa dinhi.
95: Do you plan in staying there long?
DH: Siguro mag-stay ko hantud mga 20years. Kay after that pwede na ko mag-retire tapos uli2x na lng ko sa Pinas. Kay kung mag 20 yrs ka na sa service ginabayaran gihapon ka nila kung unsa ang rangko na nakuha nimo plus libre pa ang medical nimo. Ok man ang trabaho wala man ko nagsisi na nag-apil ko sa navy. Blessing na ni sa akoa, but im still planning to continue my college here. Libre man sad ang school ang Navy man ang mag bayad sa tuiton nimo. Kaya sulit dyud.
95: Any chance we'll see you in the December 2002 reunion?
DH: Sympre!! I'll go home....God willing. Uban sad sguro ang mga amigo nako dinhi. Gusto nila makit-an ang dvo eh. Labi na nakit-an na nila ang video nato. Hehehe.
95: Any last words for the rest of our batchmates?
DH: I'll see u all in December. Unta tanan maka-ad2 para sulit dyud ang reunion nato. BLUEKNIGHTS UNITE...HEHEHE
